The Tribulation

The Tribulation

Learn about the events that leads to the great destruction. To understand this study, it’s important to grasp the following points.

  • “Babylon the Great” is a symbolic representation of Jerusalem. Israel was meant to be God’s chose people, yet for centuries, they have been guilty of idolatry, unfaithfulness through their alliances with other nations, the persecution and killing of God’s prophets, and the crucifixion of God’s Son, Jesus Christ.
  • Because of these actions, Jerusalem has earned the title “Babylon the Great.”
  • Through the prophecy of Babylon’s fall, the emergence of a New Jerusalem and a New Earth is made possible, offering a future where faithful Jews and Christians can live in a righteous New Kingdom, governed by a new Covenant in which all people who choose the Almighty God, with His Son as King, are united.

A great tribulation will begin in the land of Israel, starting with nations invading Jerusalem. During this time, God will carry out His will, bringing judgment upon those who have forsaken Him and turned to idolatry. His vengeance will punish the inhabitants of the land, fulfilling the prophecy of the fall of Babylon-Jerusalem.
