Study 12: The Will of God

What is Almighty God’s will for me and humankind?

To learn what God’s will is for His people, and to serve and obey Him, we must study the Bible.

The Strong’s Concordance Greek section defines God’s will as:
#2307: will, decision, desire, pleasure.
#2308: will, decision.
#2309: decide, want, wish, desire, and more.
#1012: plan, purpose, will, decision, counsel, advised, counsels.

Knowing these definitions can help us commit to learning His will for us.

Study 12: The Will of God

Isaiah 55:6-9
Seek Almighty God and call on Him to learn His will.

Colossians 1:9-12, 27 and Jeremiah 29:11
To know God’s will and the hope He has for us in the future, we must increase our spiritual wisdom and understanding now.

2 Timothy 2:15
Study the Bible diligently to learn how to do God’s will. Learning of Him is a lifelong journey.

Romans 12:1-2
Be transformed and present yourself to God as a living and holy sacrifice to do good and righteously. Jesus Christ is our best example.

Proverbs 3:5-6
In all your ways acknowledge God and he will make your paths straight.

Ephesians 5:17
Do not be foolish, but instead understand what the will of God is.

Matthew 22:37-39
Do God’s will by loving Him with your whole heart, mind, and soul.

John 7:17
When your will is to do God’s will, you will know if a teaching is righteous.

1 Thessalonians 5:16-28
Listen to the practical advice in the Bible about how to do God’s will.

1 Peter 2:13-20 and 1 Timothy 2:1-6
Part of God’s will is to respect people who are in authority.

Matthew 6:10
God’s kingdom will come and His will will be done on earth as it is in heaven.

Ecclesiastes 12:13
The conclusion is for everyone to learn God’s will and keep His commandments.
