What matters in relationships is having resonance

Written by

Love one another with brotherly affection. Outdo one another in showing honor. Romans 12:10

Beavers2

What matters in relationships is having resonance.

That level where you are truly connected.

If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Romans 12:18

With richness of emotion, support, passion, and conversation.

With sympathy, empathy, compassion, excitement.

If one member suffers, all suffer together;
if one member is honored, all rejoice together. 1 Corinthians 12:26

Having the same life view, similar goals, matching purposes.

When you resonate well with someone, you’re likeminded.

Building each other up.

You feel it.

Like when a rising tide lifts all the boats.

You’re up!

Therefore encourage one another and build one another up, just as you are doing. 1 Thessalonians 5:11

What about life in general?

Do you resonate well with other people?

What about with the brethren?

Do you lift them up?

Are you tuned in?

Rejoice with those who rejoice, weep with those who weep. Romans 12:15

Do you care for others deeply, with thoughtfulness and genuine concern?

Or do you tend to find fault?

Criticize.

Censure.

Disapprove.

Judge.

To where they disconnect and become disempowered.

And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works. Hebrews 10:24

How you resonate with others might reflect how you relate with yourself.

It might also echo how you perceive and relate to Jesus Christ and Almighty God YHWH.

Which is better:

To find fault?

Or to edify, build up, strengthen, and give hope?

So if there is any encouragement in Christ,
any comfort from love,
any participation in the Spirit,
any affection and sympathy,
complete my joy
by being of the same mind,
having the same love,
being in full accord
and of one mind.
Do nothing from rivalry or conceit,
but in humility
count others more significant than yourselves.
Let each of you look not only to his own interests,
but also to the interests of others.
Have this mind among yourselves,
which is yours in Christ Jesus. Philippians 2:1-7

Take a moment this week to observe and consider how your Creator formed all that exists.

SunsetWalk

Reconnect with what matters.

Appreciate all creation.

And resonate with mindfulness.
