The Occupy Wall Street (OWS) protesters' slogan, "We are the 99%", refers to the difference in wealth between the wealthiest 1% and the rest of the population. Do the protesters believe they can influence the rich and bring about fairness toward the 99%? Are the masses protecting their future by protesting the 1% wealthiest fortunes as the 99% become even poorer? The OWS protests might just be a new avenue for the elite to control the masses using a clandestine method to pave the way for a one-world government.
Protests seem warranted in the United States where industries have declined, workers have become less skilled and less sophisticated, all while the CEOs and elite pocket the public sector’s money. Many people have witnessed a few at the top become richer and more powerful. Many people of the middle and poorer classes attempt to help their families struggle to survive and make ends meet. Have you had disdain and contempt toward the leaders of countries who do not help their own poor but instead hoard food, goods, and money for themselves? Do you not wait patiently for the coming of Christ, the time where the poor and those who live righteously will be vindicated and justified? As Matthew 19:23 truly states, “Truly I say to you, it is hard for a rich man to enter the kingdom of heaven." (NASB)
We are living in a time of serious greed. Corporations and individuals continue to heap to themselves riches and gold in a time where the working and poorer class are treading water. The rich will not be exonerated. They will attempt to hide, but in the end will be judged. Read Revelation 6:15-17. Jesus Christ will bring his reward with him to judge every person on earth, both dead and alive. Read Revelation 22:12 and Isaiah 62:11-12.
Who needs a million dollars to live for a year? Who needs yachts and elite memberships and the ability to influence politicians? The people who think they are the rich, the mighty and powerful who are driven by their egos. It is not good to spend time and energy on greed and covetousness. Read Proverbs 28:16, Luke 12:15, and Hebrews 13:5.
Do not love the world or make it your safe place. In this time of political rhetoric, the elite of the world are fast and furiously working to make their stand and to convince you that they are invincible and incapable of being conquered, defeated, or subdued. All of this is leading up to control of the beast, whose end will be met with austere measures sent by Jehovah and Jesus Christ upon the whole world. Don’t get swept off your feet. Stay grounded in Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 3:11).
