Discovery is a Powerful Word

Written by
Discovery is a powerful word.

It means we have the ability to seek, find, and learn.

To find or learn something for the first time means you have discovered it!

(Yes, we know there is nothing new under the sun.)

As a human, you are sure to discover something that you didn’t know before. You might learn something new by watching the news, by studying a certain subject, from a friend or loved one who shares something with you, or by your own exploration.

If you ever researched remedies made by God, which can heal ailments, you know what discovery means.

God said, “Behold, I have given you every plant yielding seed that is on the face of all the earth, and every tree with seed in its fruit. You shall have them for food.” Genesis 1:29.

People have known many healing herbs since ancient times: aloes, anise, balm, bitter herbs, cassia, cinnamon, cumin, frankincense, garlic, hyssop, mint, mustard, myrrh, saffron.

Our God, in all His creations, is the Greatest Artist of all time!

People who study God's creations understand that those creations can heal.

In the mid 1700s, a German physician and his students diligently researched the healing properties of hundreds of God’s creations.

As a result, a healing field was established to help mankind, which they called homeopathy.

And today we know that their research proved that God’s creations can and do heal many ailments.

Some common plant-based remedies include…
discovery4

What gifts our God YHWH/Jehovah created for us.

He made each one perfectly.

He even built proteins into them!
discovery5

And Jesus helped create them all.

Long before mankind would discover Jesus Christ.

When Almighty God manifested Jesus to humans, with the help of God's Holy Spirit, we discovered that we could obtain eternal life through Jesus. And with his chosen elect as his future bride, Jesus will be complete because he will have a helpmate for all eternity.

Consider the discovery by the disciples who had searched the Biblical writings for the Messiah and were watching for him to come when he appeared. Imagine their joy when they discovered that Jesus, the Son of Mary and Joseph, was the Christ!

As John wrote in John 1:14-15, Jesus was with His Father when they created our planet and this world. When God manifested Jesus to mankind, John gave witness to this gift from God.

And through Jesus we are healed.

“For of His fullness we have all received, and grace upon grace.” John 1:16.

From that time, many people began to discover him.

The next day he saw Jesus coming to him, and said “Behold, the Lamb of God who takes away the sin of the world! This is He on behalf of whom I said, ‘After me comes a Man who has a higher rank than I, for He existed before me.’ And I did not recognize Him, but in order that He might be manifested to Israel, I came baptizing in water.” John 1:29-31.

And again the next day John was standing with two of his disciples, and he looked upon Jesus as he walked, and said, “Behold, the Lamb of God.” And the two disciples heard him speak, and they followed Jesus. John 1:35-36.

They had discovered him too!

One of the two who heard John speak, and followed Him, was Andrew, Simon Peter’s brother. He found first his own brother Simon, and said to him, “We have found the Messiah” (which translated means Christ). John 1:40-41.

The next day, He purposed to go forth into Galilee, and He found Philip. And Jesus said to him, “Follow Me.” Now Philip was from Bethsaida of the city of Andrew and Peter. Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found Him of whom Moses in the Law and also the Prophets wrote, Jesus of Nazareth, the son of Joseph.” John 1:43-45.

So while a number of disciples had found Jesus …

Jesus had also found his disciples.

Jesus saw Nathanael coming to Him, and said of him, “Behold, an Israelite indeed, in whom is no guile!”

Nathanael said to Him, “How do You know me?” Jesus answered and said to him, “Before Philip called you, when you were under the fig tree, I saw you. Nathanael answered Him, “Rabbi, You are the Son of God; You are the King of Israel.” Jesus answered and said to him, “Because I said to you that I saw you under the fig tree, do you believe? You shall see greater things than these.” John 1:48-50.

And in that day coming, we will see greater things than these.

Has Jesus found you?

•In good behavior?
•In sadness?
•On the fence?
•In abundant gratitude?

Let him find you doing what’s right when he comes. Matthew 24:29-46.

You can be sure that if you study God’s word and gather together in the name of Jesus, he is there with you and has already discovered you.

So do your best to make good choices.

Discover not only what helps your body, but also that which creates peace and mindfulness.

As Jeremiah wrote, “You will seek me and find me, when you seek me with all your heart.” Jeremiah 29:13.

Let that be nourishment to your soul.

And live in continuous discovery! =)
