What do you do to take care of yourself?

Your body. Mind. Perspective. Attitude.

Some people train.

Exercise, run, bike, work out.

It is touching and loving how some of the brethren cared for each other.

Beloved, I pray that all may go well with you and that you may be in good health, as it goes well with your soul. 3 John 1:2

And how some admonished us all.

Do you not know that you are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in you? If anyone destroys God's temple, God will destroy him. For God's temple is holy, and you are that temple. 1 Corinthians 3:16

We’ve said this before.

To do our best, we need to take care of ourselves first.

Our Creator cares about how we’re doing.

It matters to Him.

Because He has a plan, and is working to accomplish it.

And my God will supply every need of yours according to his riches in glory in Christ Jesus. Philippians 4:19

You are needed.

So, become your best.

Casting all your anxieties on him, because he cares for you. Be sober-minded; be watchful. Your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour. Resist him, firm in your faith, knowing that the same kinds of suffering are being experienced by your brotherhood throughout the world. 1 Peter 5:7-9

When you’re not at your best, it affects those close to you.

It also affects the circles of people you’re with, including your church, your work, and others.

Here are some other ways to take care of yourself.

  1. 1. Exercise your body for a happy mind. ...
  2. 2. Quick morning meditation. ...
  3. 3. Keep a journal. ...
  4. 4. Read a book or a magazine. ...
  5. 5. Call an old friend. ...
  6. 6. Schedule time for yourself. ...
  7. 7. Unplug from technology. ...
  8. 8. Take a pre-made meal to eat for lunch.
  9. 9. Get enough sleep.
  10. 10. Make your weekend about you, not work.
  11. 11. Remind yourself that you are fabulous. More at this link.

Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours. Mark 11:24

Consider others this week, as you improve the care for yourself.

Practice knowing what this means.
