Blog: Bible Study and Prophecy

bigstockphoto_news_1215526.jpgThanks for visiting our blog. This blog is dedicated to current news and special interests that may not be found in our Bible Study or Prophecies sections.

Jesus Christ, Jehovah God's Son, told us to watch. We watch the news and current events because many situations might fit what the scriptures say. It can help us to better prepare ourselves for Christ's second coming. Our articles are meant for sharing on information to watch both in current events and in improving ourselves as disciples of Jesus Christ.

We encourage comments and information regarding Bible scripture.

The Kingdom of Heaven is Coming

Remember when we learned about Matthew 25?

It describes a parable of 10 virgins.

In this parable, the Bible teaches us that 10 virgins go out to meet the Bridegroom, the Christ.

At midnight, they hear a shout to come out and behold the Bridegroom. As they all rise from sleep, they trim their lamps in preparation to meet him.

The Leavener

Then Jesus told another story:

“The kingdom of heaven is like yeast
that a woman took and hid in a large tub of flour
until it made all the dough rise.”

Jesus used stories to tell all these things to the people;
He always used stories to teach them.
This is as the prophet said:
“I will speak using stories;
I will tell things that have been secret since the world was made.”
(Matthew 13:33-35 and Luke 13:21, with ref to Psalm 78:2)

What is Faith?

You probably know the answer because faith is defined in Hebrews 11:1.

Faith is Confidence

So how do we get faith?

It’s amazing how some Bible verses have so much in common with each other.

Whether you read the Word of God, or you research certain subjects, themes exist all the way through.

The following Bible verses have some things in common. One thing in particular is the key to them all.

See if you can find it…

I Have Learned

As a follower of Christ from my youth it has been an interesting journey of faith. There have been personal tragedies, family failures, lost friendships and new ones established, informational revelations, and learning all along the way. From experiences, I have learned many things; more on that in a minute.

But first, did you know that those who follow Christ are students? This simply means one who is taught or instructed. That is actually what the word “disciple” means, and you can look it up in a Bible concordance for the definition under the Greek word number 3100.
I Have Learned 1
The Bible book of Proverbs provides proof of Almighty God and His wise instruction.

Take chapter 30, for example.

It puts our appreciation of God and His Son in awe, and instills in us a continued desire to learn.

Every word is pure

biblestudygroupIt may come as no surprise to you that the Holy Bible continues to be the most widely published book worldwide. Despite its age, the Bible has far outsold more than any other book, with 3.9 billion copies sold over just the last 50 years alone.[1]Have you considered why this has remained such an important body of information? Should it be important to you?

What did you want to be when you grew up?

IS THERE LIFE AFTER DEATH?

Do you believe in life after death? Undoubtedly, you hold some idea about what happens at the point when the spirit of life leaves our mortal bodies: Do you believe that you will go immediately to a new life in heaven? Be reincarnated to a different life form entirely? Or simply pass into eternal nothingness? Do you fear going to a place of eternal fire and torment? Are you assured that your ideas are right and do you really know what to expect?

The topic of death seems to conjure up a mixture of emotions for most of us: There are few things in our human existence that carries more mystery, more uncertainty and more fear than death. Why is that?
