Thanks for visiting our blog. This blog is dedicated to current news and special interests that may not be found in our Bible Study or Prophecies sections.
Jesus Christ, Jehovah God's Son, told us to watch. We watch the news and current events because many situations might fit what the scriptures say. It can help us to better prepare ourselves for Christ's second coming. Our articles are meant for sharing on information to watch both in current events and in improving ourselves as disciples of Jesus Christ.
We encourage comments and information regarding Bible scripture.
And He gave some as apostles, and some as prophets, and some as evangelists, and some as pastors and teachers, for the equipping of the saints for the work of service, to the building up of the body of Christ; until we all attain to the unity of the faith, and of the knowledge of the Son of God, to a mature man, to the measure of the stature which belongs to the fullness of Christ…

The Historical Background of Christmas:
Christmas is believed by most to be the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. The majority of so-called Christian religions accept Christmas as an essential part of their traditions, and few ever question when or how the whole observance actually started. The annual customs of gift-giving, festivity, lights and decorated trees are supposedly in honor of the nativity of the Son of God, but a look at historical information, coupled with Biblical facts, proves otherwise. Although it is considered to be religious in origin, this holiday is deeply rooted in ancient pagan rituals and is not supported by the teachings of the Bible.
Then Jesus told another story:
“The kingdom of heaven is like yeast
that a woman took and hid in a large tub of flour
until it made all the dough rise.”
Jesus used stories to tell all these things to the people;
He always used stories to teach them.
This is as the prophet said:
“I will speak using stories;
I will tell things that have been secret since the world was made.”
(Matthew 13:33-35 and Luke 13:21, with ref to Psalm 78:2)
