THE ORIGIN OF CHRISTMAS

On December 25 of every year the majority of the Christian world (Christendom) celebrate the birth of Christ through many handed down traditions in

cluding, setting up a decorated tree, exchanging gifts, spreading folk tales about Santa Claus, festivities, and lighting decorations, just to name a few. Where does the annual celebration of Christmas come from? You might be amazed at what can be found in the Bible regarding the origin of Christmas and finding out the actual season of Christ's birth. It is a LITTLE KNOWN FACT OF THE BIBLE.

Book of Life

Almighty God has been keeping a record. It is a book of names, a detailed list of all those who are to receive eternal life. Many books have been written about God's word, and many scholars have analyzed the Bible, but the Book of Life is the most important book. The book of life is not a physical book. Those people whose names are found written in the book of life will live forever. Actions committed by each individual are recorded; these will be brought into remembrance and used at a final judgment day. Everyone who has lived will be judged according to what is recorded in “the books.” Having your name written in the book of life ensures your entrance into Almighty God's righteous kingdom.

The Book of Life

Exodus 32:31-33 Moses knew of the existence of Jehovah's book of life, and realized a person's name could be removed (blotted out) from it.

Psalms 69:27-28 It is important to remain faithful to the one true God. Not doing so could result in one's name being removed from God's book of life.

Daniel 12:1-2 All of the dead will be raised for judgment, and some of them will receive everlasting life.

Malachi 3:16-18 Those who fear Almighty God Jehovah, calling on His name and serving Him, will be found written in the book of remembrance.

Revelation 13:4-9 A person whose name is not in the book of life will serve the beast.

Revelation 20:11-15 Many books are opened, one of them being the Book of Life. The dead are judged according to their works. Those not found written in the Book of Life will be thrown into the lake of fire.

Hello. I don't know of any scripture that reverses the bloting out from the book of life. I also don't know how anyone can be sure they were blotted out. It is probably something to be revealed at judgement time. Until then I would continue to change and improve myself.
