Guiding Our Vessels For Jesus Christ

Consider a request.

Peaceful Waters

Jesus Christ has asked you to steer his vessel.

Moose

To do a worthy job, what must you use?

Fox

As you watch on the voyage, you might become anxious or worried.

Bear

You might become irritated.

You might even get angry or filled with regret.

What might be a cure, you ponder.

Duck

And He said to His disciples, “For this reason I say to you, do not worry about your life, as to what you will eat; nor for your body, as to what you will put on. For life is more than food, and the body more than clothing.

Consider the ravens, for they neither sow nor reap; they have no storeroom nor barn, and yet God feeds them; how much more valuable you are than the birds!

And which of you by worrying can add a single hour to his life’s span? If then you cannot do even a very little thing, why do you worry about other matters?” Luke 12:22-26 (and Matthew 6:25-26)

Great advice. And a good question.

Life IS much more important than food.

Eagle

And the body IS much more important than clothing.

Moose2

The hearing ear and the seeing eye, the Lord has made them both. Proverbs 20:12

Wolfpack

Take care of your whole body, including your eyes, heart, lungs, and more. And maintain homeostasis to preserve your stability and judgment.

I will not set before my eyes anything that is worthless. I hate the work of those who fall away; it shall not cling to me. Psalm 101:3

Cliff

“No one after lighting a lamp puts it in a cellar or under a basket, but on a stand, so that those who enter may see the light. Your eye is the lamp of your body. When your eye is healthy, your whole body is full of light, but when it is bad, your body is full of darkness. Therefore be careful lest the light in you be darkness. If then your whole body is full of light, having no part dark, it will be wholly bright, as when a lamp with its rays gives you light.” Luke 11:33-36

Wolf

Your expedition takes you through pristine lands.

Canoe

You remember that you can learn considerable things from the animals.

Beavers

But ask the beasts, and they will teach you; the birds of the heavens, and they will tell you; or the bushes of the earth, and they will teach you; and the fish of the sea will declare to you. Who among all these does not know that the hand of the Lord has done this? In his hand is the life of every living thing and the breath of all mankind. Job 12:7-10

Fox Baby

You come to Algonquin Provincial Park, Canada.

Moose3

You find yourself grateful, appreciative, and beholden for the creation and all its beauty.

Then God said, “Let the waters teem with swarms of living creatures, and let birds fly above the earth in the open expanse of the heavens.” God created the great sea monsters and every living creature that moves, with which the waters swarmed after their kind, and every winged bird after its kind; and God saw that it was good. God blessed them, saying, “Be fruitful and multiply, and fill the waters in the seas, and let birds multiply on the earth.” There was evening and there was morning, a fifth day. Then God said, “Let the earth bring forth living creatures after their kind: cattle and creeping things and beasts of the earth after their kind”; and it was so. God made the beasts of the earth after their kind, and the cattle after their kind, and everything that creeps on the ground after its kind; and God saw that it was good. Genesis 1:20-25

Spiderweb

What an amazing collective mesh we are and live in!

The Creator also allowed man to have some territory.

You have given him dominion over the works of your hands; you have put all things under his feet, all sheep and oxen, and also the beasts of the field, the birds of the heavens, and the fish of the sea, whatever passes along the paths of the seas. O Lord, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth! Psalm 8:6-9

Deer

Glory and honor to Him.

As you dock your boat for the night, you settle in and contemplate all that your eyes and senses intensely consumed.

Peaceful Waters2

Who teaches us more than the beasts of the earth and makes us wiser than the birds of the heavens? Job 35:11

You know.

What else must we use to properly guide our vessels for Jesus Christ?
