The Historical Background of Christmas:
Christmas is believed by most to be the celebration of the birth of Jesus Christ. The majority of so-called Christian religions accept Christmas as an essential part of their traditions, and few ever question when or how the whole observance actually started. The annual customs of gift-giving, festivity, lights and decorated trees are supposedly in honor of the nativity of the Son of God, but a look at historical information, coupled with Biblical facts, proves otherwise. Although it is considered to be religious in origin, this holiday is deeply rooted in ancient pagan rituals and is not supported by the teachings of the Bible.
Then Jesus told another story:
“The kingdom of heaven is like yeast
that a woman took and hid in a large tub of flour
until it made all the dough rise.”
Jesus used stories to tell all these things to the people;
He always used stories to teach them.
This is as the prophet said:
“I will speak using stories;
I will tell things that have been secret since the world was made.”
(Matthew 13:33-35 and Luke 13:21, with ref to Psalm 78:2)
It’s amazing how some Bible verses have so much in common with each other.
Whether you read the Word of God, or you research certain subjects, themes exist all the way through.
The following Bible verses have some things in common. One thing in particular is the key to them all.
See if you can find it…
