What did you want to be when you grew up?
Do you believe in life after death? Undoubtedly, you hold some idea about what happens at the point when the spirit of life leaves our mortal bodies: Do you believe that you will go immediately to a new life in heaven? Be reincarnated to a different life form entirely? Or simply pass into eternal nothingness? Do you fear going to a place of eternal fire and torment? Are you assured that your ideas are right and do you really know what to expect?
The topic of death seems to conjure up a mixture of emotions for most of us: There are few things in our human existence that carries more mystery, more uncertainty and more fear than death. Why is that?
As we plunge into a new year, many people note that time as a fresh start to make positive changes in their lives. Here are a few free and simple ways that can improve our lives, not only physically, but more importantly, spiritually and mentally, too!
TAKE TIME TO SLOW DOWN:
You’ve studied the Bible for some time now.
What, if anything, remains a mystery to you?
Happiness comes in all shapes and sizes.
Sometimes it's a little thing...
Like a smile, or a pat, or a hug.
Or just realizing that you can do it. Whatever it is.
Other times it's a gigantic realization of something that you didn't know before.
A nudge from your pet
A joyful look from your child.
A thankful acceptance of your friend.
Can all make you feel happy and grateful inside.

With extreme disdain I hear him say, “Why in the &%^# do people buy tea? Why don’t they just make it?”
“Because they’re lazy.” She said it as though it were a matter of fact about anyone who buys tea.
After a few moments, it registered and I realized they were talking about me.
